Vivimos en una época de transformación digital. Nuestros hábitos han cambiado de forma radical en los últimos años y sin apenas darnos cuenta nos hemos acostumbrado a tener toda la información al alcance de la mano ya sea a través del teléfono o del ordenador. La manera de comunicarse ha cambiado también, la mensajería y la videoconferencia han substituido a las formas tradicionales. Cada uno de los sectores de la sociedad debe adaptarse y convivir con esta nueva era.
También en el mundo de la salud ha llegado el momento del cambio para complementar los métodos tradicionales aprovechando todos los beneficios que nos dan las nuevas tecnologías.
Este cambio lo experimentó en primera persona el Doctor en Psiquiatría Josep Maria Fàbregas fundador de CITA.iO en 2013, el cual inició su carrera profesional en el Hospital Marmottan de París, trabajando con el Profesor Claude Olievenstein, continuó su formación en Nueva York y, tras varios años de experiencia profesional, en 1981 fundó CITA (Centro de Investigación y Tratamiento de las Adicciones) con el objetivo de desarrollar un modelo de comunidad terapéutica profesional, que lleva más de 35 años en funcionamiento. Años después, emprendió un nuevo proyecto con CITA CLÍNICA y actualmente, con CITA FUNDACIÓN Y CITA JÓVENES.
